Save the date: 24.01. – LMU Science Talks with Prof. Keppler and Prof. Wieler

On Jan. 24, 2023, another edition of the Science Talks will take place at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. The Science Talks are a public lecture series with talks on economics, politics and society. On Jan. 24, Prof. Dr. Oliver T. Keppler (Chairman of the Max von Pettenkofer Institute at LMU Munich and Chair of Virology and Principal Investigator at the Gene Center of LMU Munich), and Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Lothar H. Wieler (President of the Robert Koch Institute, as well as Scientific Advisory Board of bayresq.net) will be guests and will report on the COVID-19 pandemic from their personal perspective. Topics are: What have we learned so far from this pandemic and how can science and medicine contribute to the advancement of public health here in the future? What research on risk and mitigation of new pandemics in an era of climate change, shrinking wildlife habitats, and globalization is relevant and what is the status?
